Clinical and sharps waste for private hospitals

Bio Waste can support independent hospitals and day-surgery units that produce healthcare waste from theatres, wards and outpatient rooms. This page is the site type. It is not a list of hospitals we already collect from, and it is not an NHS trust contract.

Businesses such as independent hospitals, private day-surgery units and specialist hospitals with theatres or wards. A consulting room without a theatre is the private-clinic page. A residential home is the care-home page. We do not claim an NHS framework or name a hospital group.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the NHS hospital service?

No. This page is for independent and private hospitals. It is not an NHS framework and not a list of trusts.

Do you already collect from a named private hospital?

This page does not say that. Send the postcode and the streams. The office accepts the site only if the collection day can be kept.

Can anatomical waste go in an orange bag?

No. Anatomical and pathological waste needs a rigid container. Orange bags are for infectious soft waste that is not chemically or medicinally contaminated.
